Project Manage it Yourself

At the end of this course the student will understand the nature of a project and how it is managed. Students will be able to organise and plan their own projects and understand the impacts of changes in the timescale and cost on the outcome of the project. Students will be able to critically monitor projects being carried out for them by contractors and ensure that appropriate agreements are pit un place at the commencement of any project to ensure a satisfactory outcome.

This course is aimed at people who would like to undertake projects such as building an extension to their home, carrying out a ‘make-over’ to house or garden, organising an event (such as a wedding) or an ‘expedition’. It will also be extremely useful for people who are having work done for them such as a house built or a conservatory or extension added. Students will require basic PC skills, a copy of Microsoft Excel and/or Microsoft Project.
